Mrs. Garrison, 97, went to be with her Lord and Savior on January 6, 2018. Born October 13, 1920 in Fayetteville, she was the daughter of the late David and Mary Black Harris. She was also preceded in death by her husband and love of her life, James Watts Garrison; sister, Frankie Holshouser; brother, Don Harris; and son-in-law, Robert Russell.

Mrs. Garrison is survived by her daughters, Betty Russell and Ellen Bayne (Jim); brother, David Harris (Arlene) and sister-in-law, Iris Harris; grandchildren, Sam Russell (Leah), Rick Overcash (Tami), Eric Overcash (Lorrie), Julie Taylor, Angie Byars, Bobby Russell, Christie Johnson (Todd); fifteen great grandchildren; and ten great-great grandchildren.
Mrs. Garrison was an amazing woman. She was smart, strong. bold and aggressive in the best possible way. She touched the lives of many people and was the rock for her family who loved her dearly and will miss her forever.
Funeral service will be held 3:00 PM Tuesday, January 9th at Mallard Creek Presbyterian Church with Reverend Ken Craig, officiating. The family will receive friends 2:00 PM - 2:45 PM Tuesday at the church. Interment will be in the church cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Mallard Creek Presbyterian Church.
